Even if a transfer of data already takes place by calling up our website, you are in principle neither legally nor contractually obliged to provide us with your personal data. However, if you wish to contact us further, we need your data for this purpose, as otherwise it is not possible for us to answer or process your enquiries.
5. Description of data processing on the websites and legal basis for processing
If you have consented to data processing, we process your personal data based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR or Art. 9 para. 2 lit. a GDPR if special categories of data are processed in accordance with Art. 9 para. 1 GDPR. In the event of express consent to the transfer of personal data to third countries, data processing is also carried out based on Art. 49 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. If you have consented to the storage of cookies or to the access to information in your terminal device (e.g. via device fingerprinting), the data processing is also carried out based on § 25 para. 1 TTDSG. This consent can be revoked at any time. If your data is required for the performance of a contract or for the implementation of pre-contractual measures, we process your data based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR. Furthermore, if your data is required for the fulfilment of a legal obligation, we process it based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c GDPR.
Furthermore, the data processing may be carried out based on our legitimate interest according to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. Information on the relevant legal basis in each individual case is provided in the following paragraphs of this data protection declaration.
5.1 Recipients of the data
A transfer of data to third parties cannot be completely prevented due to the processing purposes listed below, as our websites use tools from companies that have a registered office in a third country that is not secure under data protection law (e.g. USA). Therefore, the transfer of personal data to European and non-European countries and the storage of data outside the EU or the European Economic Area (EEA) cannot be excluded. No comparable level of data protection can be guaranteed in countries outside the EU. We have no influence on these processing activities.
Third-party service providers
Dr. Althaus Consulting GmbH is entitled to commission third-party service providers bound by instructions with the processing of personal data on behalf of Dr. Althaus Consulting GmbH (e.g. IT service providers for the administration and maintenance of the homepage). During the provision of the respective service, the third-party service providers may access personal data. Thus, these service providers are recipients in the sense of the respective applicable data protection law including the GDPR. No legal basis is required for the disclosure to recipients bound by instructions.
Legal/court disclosure
In individual cases, personal data may be passed on to third parties (e.g. authorities, courts or other bodies) if Dr. Althaus Consulting GmbH is legally or judicially obliged to do so. Dr. Althaus Consulting GmbH has no influence on the further processing of the data by the respective third parties.
5.2 Personal data within the scope of calling up the website
Dr. Althaus Consulting GmbH processes certain user-related information that is technically necessary for displaying this website. This includes, for example, information about your browser (including language and version), your operating system and its interface, your IP address, the date and time of the call to the website, the content of the call (which page was called up), the access status/http status code, the amount of data transferred, the previous website.
Since it is technically impossible to use the website without retrieving this data, there is a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit f GDPR.
The website is hosted by Wix.com Ltd ("WIX"), Nemal St. 40, 6350671 Tel Aviv, Israel. The storage of data collected on our website takes place on the host's servers. The servers are located, among others, in European and non-European countries. This means that data is also transferred to countries outside the EU and the EEA. An adequate level of data protection is ensured by standard contractual clauses ("SSCs") of the EU Commission pursuant to Art. 46 para. 2 lit. c GDPR.
The exact data protection provisions of the host can be found in the data protection policy of WIX: https://wix.com/about/privacy.

5.3 Contacting us by e-mail or telephone
It is possible to contact us by e-mail. When contacting us, all data provided by you (in particular e-mail address, first and last name as well as text, subject and other information contained in the e-mail) will be processed and stored by us. This serves the purpose of processing and answering your enquiry and establishing possible business relations.
Furthermore, you have the option of contacting us by telephone. Here, too, the data you provide us with (in particular telephone number, first and last name as well as enquiries or similar) is processed and stored. The data will not be passed on to third parties without your consent.

You have the right to request deletion of the data at any time, please contact info@dralthaus.com (legal retention periods remain unaffected).
This data processing can also be justified in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSVGVO, as we have a legitimate interest in contacting you after you have contacted us, which is not possible without storing the data. In the case of an enquiry that is directed towards a contractual or pre-contractual measure with you as a natural person, the legal basis results from Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR. Lastly, the processing of data may also be based on your consent pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 a GDPR if this has been requested; this consent can be revoked at any time.
6. Use of cookies
Our Internet pages use so-called "cookies". Cookies are small data packages and do not cause any damage to your end device. They are stored either temporarily for the duration of a session (session cookies) or permanently (permanent cookies) on your end device. Session cookies are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Permanent cookies remain stored on your end device until you delete them yourself or until they are automatically deleted by your web browser.
In some cases, cookies from third-party companies may also be stored on your terminal device when you enter our site (third-party cookies). These enable us or you to use certain services of the third-party company (e.g. cookies for processing payment services).
Cookies have various functions. Many cookies are technically necessary, as certain website functions would not work without them (e.g. the display of videos). Other cookies are used to evaluate user behaviour or to display advertising.
Cookies that are necessary to carry out the electronic communication process, to provide certain functions that you have requested (e.g. the display of videos) or to optimise the website (e.g. cookies to measure the web audience) (necessary cookies) are stored on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR, unless another legal basis is specified.
The website operator has a legitimate interest in storing necessary cookies for the technically error-free and optimised provision of its services. If consent to the storage of cookies and comparable recognition technologies has been requested, the processing is carried out exclusively based on this consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR and § 25 para. 1 TTDSG); the consent can be revoked at any time.
You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. If you deactivate cookies, the functionality of this website may be limited.
Insofar as cookies are used by third-party companies or for analysis purposes, we will inform you separately about this within the framework of this data protection declaration and, if necessary, request your consent.
7. SSL or TLS encryption
For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or enquiries that you send to us as the site operator, this site uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock symbol in your browser line.
If SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.
